October 20th Weekly Updates

On October 16, 2018 by Michelle G Black

Good evening, Meadow Glen Explorers!

School lunch week was so much fun! Dr. Little, Mrs. Meyers, and I enjoyed serving lunch to many of our students. The kindergarten and 1st-grade students sang a fun song about healthy eating and our cafeteria staff had cute skits, great costumes, and prizes! We are thankful for a dedicated cafeteria staff who look for ways to create a positive lunchtime experience for us all!

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure to announce the Meadow Glen Elementary School Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Shannon Cornelius, first-grade immersion partner teacher will represent the MGES family well! We are so proud to have Mrs. Cornelius represent us all!

Several teachers and administrators had the opportunity to attend the EL Education National Conference in Atlanta this past week. We are excited about the information we learned and look forward to using what we learned to best serve the students and families of MGES. Thank you for supporting us as we practice what we teach and persevere in life-long learning.

Our School improvement Council will be meeting on Monday at 5:30 pm. At 6:30 pm, our monthly PTO meeting will be held and parents and guardians are invited to participate. The PTO meeting will be held in the Media Center.

Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated the week of October 28 through November 1.
